wow - today is field day for all the idiotic and hyperbolic comments?

I'm asking who the guy is because he comes out of nowhere (although he seems to have 500 posts so I guess he's been here for a bit, maybe in Body & Health?) and posts half a dozen nasty, poorly articulated comments in a row in a thread where most try to be somehow articulated about their critiques. I'm also fairly sure I've never seen him post anything in this thread before, certainly not any outfit.

Just comes off as a moron, that's all.

Also, I don't give a **** if you like any of my ties.

He's the guy who updated the IBM dress code to include blue shirts. A real style trail-blazer.

He's an unfunny sock puppet that occasionally descends on waywt threads to spread his undecipherable gospel of comically restrictive taste.

Striped tie for gdl. Tan cotton suit too casual for conservative business dress? I think I could use a pair of mid-brown or tan calf shoes.

^^ Nice stuff Parker, I agree that light brown calf shoes would look better with this outfit.

Yes.

Or, to elaborate. I meant what I said about him updating the IBM dress code. Actually, Diavolo is more constipated even than that. The only--and I do mean the only--things he likes are solid navy or charcoal suits (or a navy jacket and gray pants) worn with solid or evenly striped blue shirts, dark blue ties and black or dark brown shoes. That's it.

Everything else to him is tacky/ugly/you name it.

He will dismiss this as an argument from authority but the fact that there is a whole universe out there of well dressed men who wear/have worn ... you know ... other stuff! ... is just dismissed out of hand. Everyone from Astair to Prince Charles dresses like ****. Except him.

He actually hides behind a double layer of anonymity. Not only does he post anonymously on a message board, he is also the sock of another username here. So, in addition to being anal, and a dick, he is a *****. A tri-fecta, you might say.

No, it's great. I don't have tan cotton (my cotton is more olive) but I have tan tropical and linen.

Simply looks great. Who makes the fabric?

What a lucky guy. Think of the possibilities. Or if you can't think of them, I'm told (though I wouldn't know personally) that there are places on the interweb that have demonstrations.

Lovely stuff Parker. Is that a Chan suit?

I really like the look of snuff suede with khaki, but yes, tan calf (or ravello shell!) would take this up even higher.

May not be conservative business dress, but consider pairing a light lavender shirt with this suit!

Not really conservative business dress, but Manton will you post pictures of yourself in your black and whites tonight?
