Its hard to remember the exact dimensions, unless like Brownie you have a pair of original Royals,
I always thought the original Royal Plain Caps had a rounder front, but having seen Brownies in my hand i was wrong.

Like those Shoes,Lasttye. The nearest shaped Toe,that are similiar to the Royals, are the Alfred Sargents Smooth Gibsons. The Loake Royals have a rounder Toe.

Now then, those are closer to the Gibsons I bought in 67, though mine were brown. Maybe not a skinhead shoe but definitely a late mod shoe.

I have been through these looking for clues. If only it were possible to identify that trophy being carried in the first one, for example. Is the date significant? Someone suggested Man City, but they didn't win anything like this in 1970. The supporters' scarves in the first pic seem to consist of a dark colour and a like colour (as, for example Wolves' black and amber) but you can see two players in the picture with light shirts. In the other pics the scarves could indeed be light blue and white, which leads me to think that the pics dated Aug 15 1970 are from a different group of supporters.

Frustratingly there is no company name visible on the coaches, nor is the reg no of the coach visible. Also frustratingly there doesn't seem to be any info about who posted the pics on that particular link and why.

This isn't a clincher, but the denim does suggest 'the North' (which, as we've discussed, is Milton Keynes and upwards!).

Mate they are the worse pair of Brogues I have ever seen, The shape is all wrong, Squared toe? + whats the yellow laces all about. If you want a cheap pair of Brogues, have a look at Loake.

I had the same thought, but that trophy isn't the Charity Shield - no idea what it is, though - and the scarves aren't right either for Chelsea or the Toffees.

True. Young lads, maybe only recently jumped on the DM bandwagon, perhaps?
