I haven't seen DBSS with pants over it but I guess if you can find the right pants, or sweats, it can look good too.
It does make the calves a bit more "stumpy" but i think SNowman could benefit from a look like this to prevent the bowlegged look.

I get what you're saying but I think it looks pretty good showing just the lower part of the shoe, makes it less aggressive and it is good to see that it can be done. I mean everything about the shoe is still there if you want to rock it the usual way but it's good to see that it is possible to make it look good when worn a different way as well.
