My family hoards **** pretty badly. We don't have a ton of nice stuff either. It's up being a bunch of **** that no one wants to throw away because they want to waste it, even if it's just taking up space.

I agree.

I'm single so it's easier for me to minimize clutter, but every time i've moved I've thrown more things out. Right now, pretty much everything I own gets used, except for books that sit on the shelf that I haven't looked at since I first read them, but whatever.

I don't buy random garbage and don't understand people that hoard all sorts of junky little trinkets.

I've never lived with a hoarder, but I have lived with a girlfriend who was messy and generally didn't give a **** about keeping things tidy. storage is the key. if everything has a place then you can have lots of possesions and still maintain a neat house.

one thing i cannot stand is bookshelves and sideboards full of nick nacks.

I know people who are "house rich".

You walk into their beautiful homes and see little of note.

The mortgage nut is too big to have money left for good furniture or nice art.

I've never lived with a hoarder, but I have lived with a girlfriend who was messy and generally didn't give a **** about keeping things tidy. (I think she was spoiled by the fact that we had a housekeeper).

I put up with it, despite my mild OCD, because she was sexy as hell and could ride good donkey.

lol i guess hoarder is too harsh. she's not like those intervention hoarders with poo lying around the floor. "messy" would be a better description. still though she keeps things and never throws anything away. we also have help but everytime she gets ready it's like a tornado of makeup and clothes passed by my bedroom. will put up with the hot mess anyway.
