How did I miss this thread? It has everything - fallen angels, mud slinging, passive-aggressiveness competition, race and class warfare... fantastically entertaining

It's a shame that Ambrosi's English is so ****, otherwise he would find some valuable feedback in this thread.

Do you think present and future Ambrosi customers will begin to insist that they only pay half up-front and the remainder upon delivery? It appears the full payment up front disincentivizes Salvatore to stick to any sort of reasonable delivery schedule.

I did it as a way, I thought, to speed up the process. I was wrong...

I'm relieved I didn't reply to Ambrosi's repeated solicitations - thanks intuition.

Ercole actually charges me more than Salvatore does.

Yikes. Still, I think it would have a greater effect if it were a collective action from all customers placing orders in the future vs. a sole actor such as yourself (but you were wise to do so).

The profit margin is way to thin for the half-and-half payment plan to motivate a dead beat tailor to finish the order. He makes less money by actually delivering the order....

It bears worth repeating.

I think he makes the best pants I've ever seen, fkn magic pants. I also really like him as a person, he is very generous, etc.

I just think he has serious issues with keeping to deadlines, managing time, communicating, etc.

This.

Though, I must say that Salvatore has been on a self-pormotional blitz for the last 6+ months and has clearly neglected his customers as a result. And that, no matter how you want to cut it, was a conscious decision.

For me, I tried to be patient/understanding/whatever for a few go-rounds and personally could not deal with the frustrations and walked away from both he and Solito as a result.

I like the product enough that I am willing to deal with it.

Can someone (anyone?) explain the magic of the Ambrosi pents?

I don't mean handwork or construction - I mean fit.

Is there an Ambrosi silhouette?
