Yes, they're mother-of-pearl buttons. The jacket is actually part of a suit, and came with a choice of smoked grey or white MOP buttons to attach. It's a lightweight part-lined suit, so I opted for the white buttons precisely so it could do double-duty as a spring/summer odd jacket. It still works as an unconventional suit too, despite the light-coloured buttons.

One of the best first WAYWRN posts I've seen. Everything is awesome except the shirt, a spread collar would look really good I think. Good job overall though, really solid performance!
