I haven't opened it yet right now I'm drinking the Down n Dirty, which I love.
My local store only got a 12 pack of the Big John, which is all but spoken for much like the KBS was. Jealous BTW of yous. As for Night Stalker, I only had the 2010 and loved it! My local store has some of the 2011 which I'll have to try.

This one had bacon, red wine bbq sauce, and aged white cheddar. I can't remember if it was one of their monthly burgers or a constant. Really good though.

Beer storage related question....

I live in a relatively small NYC apartment. Where is the best place to store/age beer during the summer months? Right now i am keeping things under my bed... but my bedroom gets pretty warm. I don't have a basement or anything like that.

Lunch time today i purchased a stout called Peche Mortel 12oz and a 12oz bottle of North Coast Old Stock Ale

Cabinets somewhere where they can be kept upright, out of the light and fairly cool.

I don't really drink beer. Killians Irish Red is pretty good. Blue Moon is ok.

i'm fortunate to have closet storage in my basement. very cool and very dark. i'm going to have my GFs dad redo the doors, as they kinda crappy, and build in shelves.

Is it possible to get normal Founders Breakfast Stout right now? Or is it seasonal?

Seasonal but can still be found. I think I have 8 bottles so let me know if you can't find it.

Age. I almost always buy 2 bottles, unless it's really expensive (like my TNP purchase), I drink one and then I age the other. Some can last for like 10 years.

How do you know what beers will age well? Is it beers with greater than 10% alcohol? Some other rules of thumb?

I drank the Black Gold stout tonight. It was very good. Nice bourbon character. 11.5% alcohol is no joke when drinking 22 ounces.

Usually BA as a guideline, though anything that's bottle conditioned will last a long time. I think darker beers will last longer than ambers and whites, IPAs seem to be in the middle IIRC.

Yeah first time I had Curieux I didn't realize the abv and I had about half the bottle and realized I was already floating and had to stop and get something to eat, I paced myself on the 2nd half

. It can be quite the surprise.
