Just tell her you're busy and then set something up for another time. If you let her get away with being a flake she'll always assume she doesn't have to commit to do anything with you. Or if you don't care just go meet her.

How is she a flake? She doesn't owe him anything, not even a response. By responding to hang out, by definition, means she isn't a flake.

He invited her to do something she responds the next day with a last minute invitation. She obviously doesn't respect his time.

She was probably busy herself.

I hate texting anyone. It makes me feel like such a teenybopper.

Seriously. Is the OP overlooking the fact that she apologized and actually wants to hang out with him? I don't see how "she texted me last minute" = she doesn't truly like/respect me. If anything, I think the girl would be better off without OP in her life as he seems like a real sleaze.

yes but if you are busy, you are busy. if i text someone its nice when they reply quickly but i dont expect it per say. just like i dont get upset when people put me to voice mail. if they are busy i try to respect that. would you not want them to do the same for you?

It's not hard to imagine being really busy when you get a text, then forgetting about it while you're working, and then remembering about it the next day.

Twenty-something year old women eat and sleep with their phones. She got your text. She might have been out with friends or on a date with another dude. Or, she could simply be playing the "don't expect to text me on Thursday and expect me to drop everything I'm doing (Jersey Shore, American Idol, etc.) to go out with you." She's showing interest now so take her up on her offer. If you have other options, politely decline. Otherwise, why would you pass this up?
