Would not even taste an avacado until my mid 20s but now I like the really nice creamy ones. I like them to add richness and ***** mouthfeel to things since I do not eat much in the way of bread, etc. So I can have a nice, say chicken salad on a bed of lettuce, and the sliced avacados somehow compensate for no bread.

We'll stamp that on your one-way ticket out of California.

Depends. I buy organic produce from a few stands at the Hollywood Farmer's Market, other produce and EVOO at Jons, an Armenian Supermarket. Meat is from the HFM, or a local butcher, or Seafood City (thanks Russ), or some supermarket. Herbs never cost me more than a dollar, or a buck fifty. Hey impolyt, I got you a present. It's in the California thread.
