Would Appreciate Some Tux Help

I would just like to preemptively apologize for any forum etiquette I violate in this post (if I do).

I'm a first time tux buyer and I would really like some help. I've read black tie guide and it's pretty good.

Anyways, being the newbie with tuxedos as I am, I went on GQ and I really like this tux/style:



So the point of this thread is if going for this look is okay? If not, could you point me in the right direction?

But if yes, how can I imitate this look? I noticed the slimness of the tuxedo and the trousers (I really like this. I suppose I would have to buy the items slim and tailor them? Or is there another method?). There was also peaked lapels, flaps for the pockets (gasp), one button (I may choose 2 button), turned down collar. What would I need to imitate this outfit?

This is a pretty good tux (although dangerously slim. Don't wear white undies, because when the ass tears open we'll all see em.)

Jacket looks good except for the pockets (which shouldn't be flapped. It has jetting over the jot, so you can at least tuck em in).

1 breast, 1 button and peaked lapels. It's the safest bet you can make, and always a good choice. People don't wear tuxes so often that you're likely to get bored of the standard.

Don't know your price range but check out Ralph Lauren Black Lapel - their suits & tuxedos have a similar cut although I think right now they only offer notch lapel tuxedos (IMO you definitely either want peak or shawl lapels). Paul Smith is another nice slim fitting option, though you'll pay for it. If you're on a budget, H&M sometimes has slim tuxedos for <$300 that actually look very nice - doubt they are very durable but you'll get a few good wears out of them.

If the tuxedo fits correctly in the shoulders a tailor can slim the rest, though I wouldn't try to get your pants as slim as in the photo of Mr. Flowers - if you could see a shot of him from behind you'd probably see that the trousers are pinned within an inch of their life. They also would be very uncomfortable when you are sitting down - like for one of those 2 hour dinners you get at a black tie wedding or charity event.

I saw a pair of tuxedo pairs tear at a wedding rehearsal. Shredded ass is a real thing. Beware. Jeans can deal with that kind of pressure; trousers, not so much.
