I am often invited to formal social events requiring a date (charity galas, etc.). Lately I have to decline these invitations, as I don't have a date (I recently broke up with my gf and live in a new city in which I do not have many social connections). I do not want to take a random woman that I have not vetted fully (no blind dates or first dates, no craigslist trash).

Criteria:
1. Can speak intelligently and carry on a conversation with strangers about a variety of topics, including business.
2. Classy (won't drink too much, doesn't look like a hooker, knows which fork to use)
3. Reliable
4. Appears close to my age (early 30s)
5. Physically attractive, but not intimidating to other women

I was wondering if there are any services that offer this type of escort or if you have suggestions on how to set up this type of relationship. I would pay very well on a per-event basis with absolutely no expectation of sex (I'm not gay, I just won't pay for sex). Appreciate your thoughts.

What would happen if you pay an escort to attend a party with you, and then at the end of the affair, you have surprise sex?

How would you feel about that?

Why not put an ad up on craigslist, explicitly stating what you want, that no sex will be involved, and then interview the women? Alternatively put up an ad on something like okcupid, just be straightforward with what you want. I'm sure there are a million broke women out there that wouldn't mind being paid to have a nice evening out. The key will be to treat it like any other employment position and have an interview process that goes along with it to weed out those women that don't fit your qualifications. I'm sure you would find someone qualified in no time, especially if you are paying well.

I'm also wondering why you don't just have female friend do it.

Please elaborate if you are willing OP.

I've always felt that as males we have that advantage of showing up anywhere alone without any qualms. I suppose women can too, but there are still some social mores about seeing a women alone and, you know, prostitution and all that.

exactly, I've gone to weddings alone (I ******* slay) and quite a few other events. If you're a confident dude, you can stroll into anywhere without anyone and no one will look askance

This is the most marsupialed premise for a thread I've ever seen.

If you have no expectation of sex and absolutely need to bring someone, bring a female friend. If you're going to go to the trouble of vetting an escort, which could require seeing several in advance at an aggregate cost of thousands of dollars, it seems like a huge waste of money not to "vet" them thoroughly.

Sir, You're declining multiple invitations to parties and events full of potentially interesting women/people because you don't have a woman? I would have thought that as a single guy you could make many new female/male connections at these events who would, over time, introduce you to other interesting people ad infinitum of which a few will be teh wimminz.
