I've never seen anything decent in a SF thrift store

you may have better luck selling them if you had the correct size listed. Those measure out more like a 46r than a 48r. Since they're marked 58, 58-12=46

Well, you haven't been looking very hard. It's the best place I've ever thrifted, and some of the legends of this thread are SF-based. I just bought a Kiton there two weeks ago.

Ugh. I haven't had much luck on SF lately (this wknd and 2 wknds ago). Did find a nice hot spot with some brioni shirts and other nice items.
I do think I don't put a lot of effort into this as I did when i first started. =\\

Truth in advertising. They ARE marked size 58. The usual translation is 58=48, not 46. I give the actual measurements. What else should I do? To be honest, I despair of B&S. Kiton, brand-new C&Js, shell Aldens all of these have failed to sell despite reductions. Personally I just don't think it works unless you are one of the big boys. My experience is that flipping simply does not work, on B&S, eBay or anywhere else. Hence I mostly thrift just for myself these days.

A Euro 58R IS roughly a US 46R. http://www.styleforum.net/showpost.p...17&postcount=3

Passed on a Paul Smith black suit in excellent condition. It was TINY and $40. If it's still there when I go back w a 20% off coupon I might get it. But will anyone buy a size 32 (or something) luxury suit?

hhmm no...i sell maybe 5-10 items a month, granted some of them are very high end expensive but i wouldnt consider myself a big seller like Spoo or whoosurdaddi etc etc and i have no problem what so ever selling.yeah it may take awhile but if the price is right and the product is right it should sell,i dont know why you are having trouble selling a Kiton???
you seem to have a high post count so the trust should be there as well, would be different if you had 80 posts and wanted a grand for a suit know what i mean.

Is this correct way to wear three button suits? I understand I should NEVER button the third button, but I was unsure if I should button the top.

I didn't know that any suits maker would make suits that tiny. I mean 32 is really tiny. Is it for a boy rather than a man?

Things that I left, NWT canali suit with pick stitching. Lots of ties and suspenders, which I hope to pick up tomorrow if they are still there. Need some info on the hermes ties, are they real? Everything up for sale, just drop me a PM. Great Omega find.

Found a nice pair of burgundy Bally penny loafers in 11E. Not my size, but for $3 the loss will be acceptable if I´m unable to sell them.

Need to see the serial numbers and back linings, but the ties look real.
