That's a poor excuse, I've been cutting myself and still drink in moderation, but I also follow the Lean Gains method of IF. The basic protocol on drinking is make sure you eat high protein and fat and keep you carbs low. On heavy lifting days, I'll usually allow some of my calories for boozin', but it does slow down the process a bit.
No way, once I hit that switch I have to stay in that mode. All of the calories I eat are planned along with my meals for the week, so a beer like KBS would leave me feeling guilty and the benefits of not drinking far outweigh drinking.
