I agree completely with Manton. A comparison of TTO's rig with one I wore a few weeks ago is useful to show just how far TTO went overboard:

I offer this in a friendly spirit and with the hope that TTO can learn from it.

Seriously, o/o, a good % of your posts in this thread seem to be saying "Eff conservative business dress, go for broke." Which is fine as a sartorial matter, but not really the point of this thread.

I like a lot of what you wear; the tie today is nice, for instance, though overall the ensemble is too gray. The tie above however I can't stand.

Great outfit, gdl. I like rounded toes better though, but that's purely a personal bias.

I am, however, tempted to come and raid your tie collection. This one is really nice.

Buy the same tie from ed ! It's a Panta and the silk is awesome.

These toes are as round as they get without getting into clunk territory

I'm glad that so many of you like this. I've actually gotten several PMs from other people interested in buying it (It's not for sale). I still feel the same way though. As for being "extreme," I only feel this way about the higher waist suppression around my mid-torso. The rest of my comments concern stylistic choices about which, at the risk of sounding repetitive, I've simply changed my preferences. I much prefer the softer make and slightly fuller sillhouette I've been getting for the last year or two, and ticket pockets and roped shoulders have gone stale for me.

If you are serious, you need to lay off the crack pipe. I don't give two ***** about my knots.

If you are joking, I second the joke.

As conservative business dress as I get, get ready for bad pics, bad shoe knots and shirt cuffs riding up as I lift me arm!:
