Thread title should be changed to "girls that are well dressed" otherwise it becomes "clothed bitches appreciation thread". I like hot girls too you know its just that being hot doesn't mean well dressed and we've got like 20 appreciation threads for amateurs using daddy's camera and their mirror, celebrities strutting their stuff and porno chicks showing skin.

So ive been attempting to help my lady find her style, via sending her a ton of blogs, buying a couple odds n ends, and pointing out things i think would look good on her. Shes into fashion/style blogs but doesnt wear any of it.
She earn$ but doesnt want to spend, which is good, but i feel like she could still go the affordable route and still come out on top. How do i not be an ass and try to dress her, but help her get out of the post college doldrums?
TL;DR how i make her look better?

How about you taking her out to shop and paying for some items at first, then maybe she'll start getting "the bug" to go shopping/buying for herself.
That's what happened to me... my girl wanted me to dress better (I was a sneaker/jeans/band shirt dude back in high school) so she went and bought me a few shirts and then we went and tried on jeans that actually fit. I bought those and then I found some boots I liked, Clarks DB of course, and the rest was history. Now i'm on SF and more "in to" fashion than her!

Eh, Portland isn't exactly a hot spot for shopping...
But then again, when it comes to women fashion it seems like high end designs always permeate down to lower end stores, so to be honest I really don't understand much of what differentiates women's high fashion from fast fashion. So, I guess, just take her to H&M?

Sort of related, how do you get a girl with a sense of style, but who doesn't believe in spending lots of money to upgrade her stuff?
My girl loves thrift stores -- she has trouble spending more than $5 on a dress. She has pretty good style, but I'd love to see her in nicer stuff. She's African, though, so she gets mad immigrant guilt when she spends lots of money on "frivolous" things.
For her birthday, I bought her some Louboutins and a dress from some designer I've never heard of at Barneys, but she doesn't seem to have caught the bug yet. Do I just need to keep buying her nice **** until she gets addicted?
