Can someone verify the "Alden" color. J Crew lists it as Dark Brown but I am wondering if this is essentially the same as Color 8. Color 8 looks black on most online pics but I believe it is supposed to be a dark brown.

These are def not color 8. They are indeed dark brown. I have seen them in person.

Color 8 can eventually fade to something more like brown but it's really more of a burgundy color.
It looks black in so many pictures because of lighting.

haha planning a trip soon ... the gf wants to go to spain or italy for 2 weeks after her bar exam in july and luckily ill be done with summer gig around same time
