I have an ankle sock in my polish box dedicated to Lexol. I used that to apply a layer. Left them in the box on the trees for about an hour while I ate dinner. Then took them out and applied Meltonian neutral cream polish. Then brushed with a horsehair brush (I use the same brush for any color leather) then spit on them and buffed with an old t-shirt (not like they do at the shine shop but lightly with the t-shirt wrapped around my hand). Other than that, just storing them on the RL trees (basically the 202 last so you can't go wrong with EGs) and in their box and you get a pair that look this good.

Keep in mind I only did this a few times over the year.

Of course fit it important. If the shoe doesn't fit properly you'll get all kinds of skewing and creasing that no amount of treeage or polishing can remedy. YMMV.

You are quite good if you can see that from the picture of the trial shoe (and did not conclude from the provisional markings on the first last); it's true my right foot is slightly problematic in the toe area (though not much).
I should have some more Viennes trial shoes and some from another Italian maker soon, so more work to come for you

thank you P. I really take notice of the fine elements of aesthetics - the right foot toe area screamed out to my eye actually - I am a dermatologist with a passion for design, so I pay attention to these things.

I did not conclude anything from the markings on the last really.

I look forward to seeing your other bespoke and seeing how these shoes turn out.

Big fan of your blog, and enjoy your pictorials to Ugolini. He has great stuff on that rack - can you rephotograph them again soon? the offerings appear to have changed.

Magnozzi I'm curious about the Frankenvass, which I think is one powerful shoe, although I also like the U with stiched upper i.e. minus the vertical toe seam.

Is the waist beveled? Wondering what the waist of a U would look like minus the bevel ?

Or did u get the Goiser? I'm guessing no bevel if yes. Make it a little like the EG Dover. Thx

No, I did not get Goyser (Vass botched my order somewhat) so they have the double tapering to single leather sole with metal toe taps as usual. The waist is as such slightly beveled, but I guess you knew that already.

I agree, it's a much underrated shoe design, AAMOF I like it so much I am contemplating ordering it on the F last as well, but in 'leather' in lieu of suede.
