I guess you did not realize that this is just a trial pair?

Upcharge for StC with Cordovan was 200€ a year ago, but since then, the prices have risen a bit most likely.

Not sure, I've seen a few pairs of these they are made by Magnanni and they have a natural tendency to do this. To the touch the leather feels dry.The finish of the shoes appears to dry out the leather which becomes very thirsty - so creaming/conditioning is needed excessively.

It's not good.

Perhaps others can share some advice on this.

The EGs I just wore (Midfort in dark oak antique) looked like this when I took them off a minute ago (actually worse). After recent threads I used the last of my Lexol on them and those creases disappeared. YMMV.

P - I realize it is a trial pair, just trying to add input. the left foot shoe looks ok, the right slightly off - was trying to be helpful!

Well, Ugolini took care of that, thanks though

. You are quite good if you can see that from the picture of the trial shoe (and did not conclude from the provisional markings on the first last); it's true my right foot is slightly problematic in the toe area (though not much). I should have some more Viennes trial shoes and some from another Italian maker soon, so more work to come for you

Nah son, at one point (from March 2010 till like Sept 2010) I was wearing these at every dress outing at least 3 x week, thus the toe taps. I think the soles are almost worn thru (dark spot). Either way, they were looking thirsty and I gave them the Lexol x Meltonian neutral cream treatment. Then went to the roof deck to take pics and proceeded to show teh wife why I must spend $1K on shoes
