Thanks, MOK. You made a similar comment yesterday with regard to my more conservative business dress fit, which I meant to comment on. While I would agree that my fit yesterday would have benefitted - I only very rarely wear a PS as they are not considered conservative business dress in my locale.

With today's outfit I think the coat and zing of the tie were distracting enough (I never wear a PS with a patterened coat anyway). Would you suggest plain white?

I'm with you, this transitional time is confusing to me. Here in the SW we get it all, snow, rain wind big time, and sun, usually all in the same day! Going to DC next week and wondering what to wear. Beautiful jacket by the way, really like the tie, and how you worked it all together.

It was cold, rainy, and raw when I took these pics yesterday, and I felt pretty silly in my silk/linen SC.

Not sure about the two haves together...

I'm of the school where a white PS only really works with a white based shirt. For me the tie stands out a lot and I think a PS would soften the impact. Maybe a brown based paisley or another pattern with a touch of orange in it.

All right, fellow posters, I realize that the only thing about today's fit that is even vaguely spring-like is the tie (and maybe the PS), but it was 29F/-2c in NYC this morning - not a time for donning linen.

Apart from being out of the running, thematically, I think that I don't look SO bad - but as always, you're the judges on that one.
