The second look is really great! I rarely like the peak lapel but you pull it off nicely.

Inlandisland Very nice, some seriously spikey lapels!
fistbump.gif
ndw - I was fooled into liking the first one with a "pink" tie too! haha

PandArts The tie had to go...now you're just clearly pandering for some "positive" reviews.
laugh.gif
Without the tie, it is much improved. However, your pictures, IMHO, are more at home in the wintertime...kind of cold and stark....which is great..but it ain't spring.

Well I wouldn't say I was "pandering" just posting the edited look, which can still be bad even if improved sans tie. It is true I'm not much for a ton of colour in a fit but I think I can still dress for spring. I still love the tie and only wish that I could have found it on the clearance rack at my local TJ Maxx
laugh.gif
The thing about this tie is that, if worn, it needs to be the element of colour. In today's first try there was just too much going on with the brighter blue of the suit, the pink gingham shirt and the purple/blue/grey striped ps.

PandArts Wow, I was just going back through the posts to look at the tie and you took down your post! Weak sauce....

From my memory of the tie, I cannot imagine a serious scenario where it would look good, although now, I can neither confirm nor deny that thought.

However, something about the slanted pocket / single button combo creates the illusion of a bulge in the stomach area. That said, it could just be the stance...I LOVE every single piece.

Cheers - I think it's just stance (legg at angle and leaning back slightly) - hacking pockets seem to exaggerate stance issues (although it's obviously not a problem IRL).

I posted it a while back during the month I was there but I haven't found time to continue shoemaking at this point. It's very time-consuming and labour intensive. I do work with leather as a weekend job, though.

Hmmmm... SF will probably tell me that the pattern in the tie and shirt are too close in scale... Maybe a sockless, knit tie alternate will improve my odds...

Fine see spoiler below
smile.gif

Well, as you can imagine I don't wear the tie that often and the best pic I could find was this one where I think it works well as a pop of colour in an otherwise monochromatic context.

Spring, ******! Can we do this challenge again a little bit later in the season?
It was cold, rainy, and raw when I took these pics yesterday, and I felt pretty silly in my silk/linen SC.
