Yeah NB uses a lot more earth tones than Nikes but I'd take a black uppers with white mid-soles AM 90 or some white/obsidian AM 1 or some all white AM ST over NB anyday.

If people ask about the logo, tell them it's an international society of drunks.

Temple of Jrunks?

I was gonna pass it off as a secret society... love the TOJ logo. The gold logo is starting to rub off on my wallet, though.

No idea who Fark is.

But is being SZ approved a good thing?
Plus wouldn't I need some RO or DBSS sneakers still to fit in?

I don't think SZ is particularly sold on the DBSS sneaks. You would be better off with CCP or Julius boots.

Fark is a dude who went on SZ, bought the **** out of everything they hyped and started posting some often pretty damned solid WAYWTs and had the SZ faithful predictably **** all over him for essentially buying their aesthetic... "you don't understand the background / history / conceptual underpinnings of your clothes", that kinda crap. Apparently it offends people who use their taste in clothing as a means to tell themselves they're artistic and better than others when you do that

sorry rfx, you're gonna have to return that rick owens bomber.

you simply don't deserve to wear it. maybe in 3-4 years after your aesthetic develops.. but sorry, not now.

I was considering Augusta derby/boots, does that count?

I think I've been to SZ once to check out if someone were selling stooges on their B/S so i really have no idea what is going on in there.

The hilarious thing about it is this is pretty much what they were saying in a nutshell, yet in spite of its patent absurdity everyone was basically nodding in agreement. Boggles the mind.

look. buying rick owens, ccp, drkshdw, etc is a privledge, not a right.

maybe if you can post up a 4,000 word essay on the ontological meanings of the semiotic self-referential metaquality of carol christian poell, we can give you a junior SZ membership card, and you can start making small purchases.

the only person who deserves to wear CCP and Rick is the person who buys it at retail

there's a couple there who do, but the people who are oh so offended that john meyer wears their precious ccp don't have the money to buy it in the first place.

you need to drop 'cognitive dissonance' at least once in said essay
