I am beginning to lean towards "less is more" minimalist pilosophy re: SUV styling, as opposed to failed experimentations in modern design:
hence, seriously considering a Chevrolet Suburban/Tahoe LTZ...never thought it would come down to looking at Chevys

Interesting, the Land Cruiser is exactly what I've been thinking. I probably won't lease this one ... may even buy slightly used ... as this isn't meant to replace the "new car."

Drove a Land Cruiser for 14 years.
Loved it.
I think the new ones are far more refined than the one I drove.
I loved the Cayenne S I drove for a week while my Carrera was being serviced.
Fantastic SUV. I guess I tend to like Porsche styling.

Well, that's really the thing. Styling is pretty much a matter of taste/opinion. There's no wrong answers, only what you do and do not like.

Friend of mine has a Cayenne: cannot keep the front end aligned. The ****** just keeps chewing tires.
