i need some plain toes
my new aldens - unlined #8 cordovan dovers with water-loc soles.
Unlined? they look lined to me
Also this happened a while back:
I was under the impression that flex = waterloc. Is this incorrect?
Two PPs got stepped on by another big foot Alden shoe.
Double flex = waterloc.
"Unlined" typically refers only to the tongue and the toe-box.
where are people getting these plain toes with waterloc soles?
Double flex = waterloc.
What is a Double Leather 'Waterloc' or 'Double Waterloc' sole? Here's three descriptions: "instead of the standard double leather sole, we used an oiled version, called a 'Double Waterloc' that will resist the harmful effects of Portland’s wet climate. The heavily oiled sole is a stacked version of the soles used in the construction of Alden’s flex welt system." http://winnperry.com/updates/alden-winn-perry/ "...these boots are made Portland friendly through the use of Alden's double waterlock oiled leather sole" http://shop.winnperry.com/products/a...ck-captoe-boot "...the signature Double Waterlock oiled leather sole pairs with the rest of the boot handsomely and increases the lifespan of your leather sole on wet surfaces." http://shop.winnperry.com/products/a...ck-captoe-boot "...This shoe is made Portland friendly through the use of Alden's double waterlock oiled leather sole. The oiled double leather sole does not allow water to penetrate into its pores, a cause for premature aging of leather soles. The addition of the double waterlock makes this American classic that much more versatile in the Pacific NW." http://shop.winnperry.com/products/a...rlock-longwing
