I have a number of cotton ones from Brooks Brothers - bought them on sale for $8-9/pair. They're well-made, easy to put on, and most importantly, the argyle extends down to the top of the foot (unlike my J Crew ones).Originally Posted by swb120

My favorite pair of argyles came from Tricker's. They have an eBay store, and they were nice enough to include a free pair of socks with a recent order. I need to find out who makes tricker's socks because these are far better than any other argyles I own.

If your not near any decent discount places the Target brand Merona (sp?) has some fun colors for $2.50 each. Pretty thin and they probably won't last forever, but hey you can't wear purple or teal socks all the time.Originally Posted by officeboy
