U last Norweger is a beast - one in pebble on sartoriale right now

Hell yeah you can butt in!

Yeh i saw those ones on ebay in pebble, very nice but IMO would look better with goyser welt.

My tentative (very..) list:
U-last norwegian with 360 goyser....
F-last Double monk in pebble grain with goyser (perhaps rubber sole..)
Some sort of blucher in cordo probably...

If funds allow, possibly a fourth...

The trick with the U norweger and the F monk will be getting the right colour combo with the goyser - depends how much you want the shoe to shout out.
the 3 and 5 eye London bluchers go with just about anything IMO

Agreed, but also keep in mind that the Goyser welt really does make for a very casual shoe. It's best with jeans and trousers such as cords and moleskins. Definitely not for suits and I'm one who already stretches what footwear is suit appropriate such as monks and suedes.

for sure I was thinking minus the goyser the 3 and 5 are versatile. with it definitely a casual shoe. I'd like in cognac I think less colour contrast - or does the goyser come in non-white colours?

Gentlemen, I am in love with Vass – although I really shouldn't be. I have two pairs of Budapesters that I totally lucked into here on B&S, but of course now I want more. It's that high toe-box. Still, I really don't know as much about Vass as I should. Hence my question: would it be possible to find a monkstrap, single or double, on the Budapester last... and would it look good?

Gabor Halmos' new collaboration made it for me: http://demeter-halmos.com/ Fortunately his clicker allowed the aggressive styling...I opted for a single leather sole and no goyser...also have a burgundy Alt Wein monk version on the way too Nice & roomy in the toe box and well fitting considering my high instep

Here it is compared to a squared and chiseled (U last killer) from D&H

The black Budapester on Halmos' new website is even nicer-looking than the Vass model that I just ordered.

How is dealing with Gabor, and what are prices, options, etc.?

it's Alt Wien = old fashioned vienna/viennese style

Alt Wein means nothing, quasi

alter Wein = old wine
