How awesome was that Pac 10 Tourney Championship game? Towards the end it looked like UW was starting to pull away when they employed the time honored tradition of missing their FTs and abandoning their inside game to shoot bad 3's.Originally Posted by Biggskip

Women's collegiate basketball is such a joke for so many reasons and in so many ways.
WTF kind of logic do they have competing with the men's tournament? I mean FFS, every successful tournament plans to avoid a clash with established, popular tournaments. The women? Nope. Let's have ours at the same time.
Oh and a tournament the size of the men's field when there are only,at best, 10 good sides a year? BRILLIANT AGAIN I SAY!

The best part of the selection process for the tournament yesterday was MSU and their fans having to sweat it out to the very end to see if they would make it to the dance...

ha. dude not funny at all. when the last region was going, once they annouced the 8,9, and 11 seeds, i threw my remote down, started cursing up and down the hallway, then the announcement of the 7-10 game. if they get their **** together, i can see them getting past for the first weekend. big IF because they haven't done it all ******* year. izzo is something around 11-2 or 12-1 on the second game of the weekend in the tourney.

I was really hoping they would have made the bubble teams that didn't win their conferences like MSU and UofM the play-in games instead of teams like Alabama State and Arkansas-Little Rock that won their tournaments.

But, alas, I'm not on the selection committee. Two of my three schools made the tournament: Oakland University and Michigan. I think if any 13 seed has a chance this year to win their opening game it will be OU v Texas. I was hoping for a 12 seed, but this is still better than last year's match-up against Pitt. That was brutal. As far as Michigan goes - I'm just happy they finally made it again. (My third remaining alma mater is not D1 so no false hopes there)
