In any case, it's good stuff. The re-release is the same as the original, and you can get it at Bloomy's and elsewhere for ~$50 for 100mls. I also recommend JHL.

I paid $6 for 2ml, so nothing outrrageous. I can't find the email now where he told me what the "vintage" year is. "Vintage" probably means "bottle has been sitting around for a while"

I do like the floral/patchouli style so I will be trying Havana again.

ELdO Fat Electrician today. vetiver top on a myrrh/vanilla base. I guessed the myrrh was something animalic like musc, but I looked it up and it's myrrh. Interesting combo. Nice.

today Malle Geranium PM. Nice opening... it's faded to a skin scent after about 4-5 hours though. I like the minty floral + cinnamon thing here. It's interesting but I'm not in love. I think this is worth smelling but not a buyer for me. Shame, I wanted to like it.

for anyone who wants a decant - 15ml available here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxmVh...el_video_title

Today, another day of wearing Teh Negleckted Bottles: Nicole Miller. I tried to like this one but it just lies flat on my skin. It's okay but nothing great in terms of composition or materials. No wonder Amazon had testers of this for $8

I've got Bond Central park on the left and Malone Sweet Lime & Cedar on the right. The malone has this liqorishy/basil note and more wood, so I prefer the smell but it just doesn't last that well or project either. I may end up with the Central Park instead.

I've been wearing Dyptique Essence of John Galliano a lot this winter and I'm wearing it again today. This has become one of my favorite scents. Ironically, it's sold as a room spray but it develops beautifully on the skin, while I don't like it when used as intended. It has an herbal, soapy quality that softens over time, and is anchored with a lovely incense mix, but the thing that really puts it over the top is the campfire note that's perfectly pitched - not too strong and not too subtle. Highly recommended, and cheap to boot.

Mouchoir de Monsieur today. I was a little surprised at how strong the fecal/civet topnote was, but within an hour or so it had shifted to a lavender/powder note. Meh. These aren't the droids we're looking for. You can go about your business. Move along.

i thought i had buyer's remorse when i bought the Dolce gabbana one gentleman a while back and it was just sitting there while i kept using acqua di parma blu mediterraneo. the other day i sprayed a ton of the dolce on my chest before work (like 8 sprays) and i initially reaked of cologne the first hour but the lasting fragrance was lovely the rest of the day. im in love with my one gentleman again.
