News from Gordon is that his prices start at US$1.1k.

Might be worth considering instead of a Chan.

Edit: I forgot to add- i asked for VBC wool.

Chan should be listed there but unfortunately he's not $500

I will go for Y William Yu if the price different is just HK$200.

Can you clarify? Is Peter Lee quote you HK$4,600.- for CMT or a completed suit? For Peter Lee, if HK$4,600.- just CMT, without doubt, you should go to Gordan Yao.

For easy comparison, it is better for you to ask how the jacket is being constructed? Fused or hand canvass.

Cheers.

PL is indeed HKD 4600 for CMT (full canvas). Is Y William Yu only 200 more - for full canvas? And for comparison: in which range would we find Gordon Yao?

Gordon is a top-notch tailor and I've never used YWY before but I've never had any problems with Gordon.

Thanks for the opinions guys, I'm looking to get one nice suit made(I don't need many). I tried william cheng and wasn't very happy with the result, so I just want to do it once more, and do it right

I made a few phone calls today and spoke to the proprietors personally. I got the following prices for a CMT suit, fully canvassed.

Peter Lee quoted me HKD3,500 for a jacket, HKD1,100 for pants and HKD1,200 for a vest.

Y William Yu wanted HKD5,000 for the suit, HKD1,300 for a vest.

Gordon Yao wants HKD7,500 for the suit, HKD 2,200 for a vest.

All were very nice and accommodating. I'm surprised that Peter's prices have gone up so much.....

I'm in the process of making a suit from Moustache on Aberdeen st. Run by two american guys. Looking forward to my second fitting this week. So far so good though, they close the shop when they do your fitting, and they're quite detail oriented.
