His occasional WAYWT contribution suggests that he's not.

This misconception seems to stem from that ancient WAYWT picture of jet circa 2007/08.

Of course, this makes me wonder how someone who registered less than two months ago would be aware of this, unless it was just an arbitrary insult.

Why is everyone suddenly buying multiple Rick leathers? Since there were only a few posters here a year ago doing this I'd have to say it's become a fad, similar to the MMM GATs. Interestingly shortly before the fad became visible on this forum, more plebeian stores like Tobi.com started occasionally writing "RICK OWENS" in huge letters on their front page, making Rick the featured brand for the first time ever at a mainstream on-line fashion store. Note that I am not claiming that Tobi influenced these people, rather I am saying it is a symptom of the overall hype/fad. No hate for the jackets-- I think they look nice.

Just got in from work to find a small box waiting for me.

Two beautifully made belts - one in tan and one in black.

It's a bit dark to take a decent photograph tonight so I'll post a link to where you can see other examples

PK, I think you're partly on with the fat jet fallacy; but I think it is also in part due to whisperings of jet just being a not-skinny/sort of big-boned dude which he has stated numerous times. of course fools swing too far the other way and assumed he was fat. if I do recall correctly at one point I think he felt he had some weight to lose but supposedly the jet lifestyle does include heavy lifting these days, not that this precludes being a fat persian boss. in any event, jet is a baller and styles on most of the forum regularly, not to mention being a hilarious poster and occasional troll.

Ummm... I've only seen 2-3 people including myself (and that is getting more than 1). That is everyone? I see a lot of discussion and interest about it in the leather jacket thread but not much else outside of that.

Someone (on this forum) actually said I was a "fat American" based solely on my screen name.
