Which tattersall shirt?

Still looking for a decent tattersall shirt to wear, though winter here in Japan is quickly slipping away. I'm pretty much resigned to not being able to to find one in a slim fit or with sized sleeves, as these shirts are traditionally British and come in a very English cut.

Out of the ones I've seen, these two seem like my best bets. I'm not sure if they're the same material; the Pakeman page specifically calls it cotton flannel, while the Cordings shirt just looks it. Flannel wouldn't be a deal-breaker, but I'd kind of like to be able to wear it in seasons other than the Osakan winter.

Or, if you have another recommendation, I'd like to hear it.

those look pretty similar to me...so i suppose whichever one you like more.

Can anyone comment about quality of the shirtmakers? Comparisons to the their larger brethren, ie CT or TM Lewin? Thank you.

You will find the Cordings shirt to be described as cotton flannel at the bottom of the product page.

Both look OK, but I like the collar on the Cordings more. But am concerned about the several references to "generous cut." You will need to count on getting this to a tailor to wear it.

I'm planning on it. At any rate, I'd have to take it in for the sleeves, so I might as well get the rest of it taken care of at the same time.

Plenty of places offer tattersall shirts even Marks & Sparks have them for £25.

Your two are both 100% cotton. Viyella offer tattersall with 20% wool.

The cut is traditional as tattersall is seen as an old man's/country shirt. So slim fit is not offered.
