Contemplating the awesome food I just ate at Restaurant Eve:

OMG SYLAR!!

TM Lewin shirt, thrifted SC, Kilgour overcoat, Mabitex pants, Grenson Masterpiece for Paul Stuart shoes, RL pocket square, RLPL suede gloves, Jack Georges bag, (new) Tingley overshoes. The break on these pants is great for other shoes, but for ones styled like this it's a nightmare - any thoughts? While on that topic - you guys ever have problems with slim-legged pants riding up your OTC socks when you sit down and staying hiked up when you stand up? That happens annoyingly often to me, I find myself pulling down my pants every time I stand up when wearing this combination.

I like all the pieces separately, however together they are very bland.
Agreed. Next time I'll pair that tie with a navy blazer and gray slacks instead of navy slacks and a gray SC. Same colors but more contrast.

Normally O/O looks fine. Some days he looks great. This is neither. When the worship doesn't know bounds, it does a great disservice for those who cannot tell these days apart.

Agreed, and stated better than my attempt. I think a lot of people praise the poster not the post, and if some of the 'worshipped' posted some of their pics incognito the responses would be a lot different.
When an artist who has repeatedly demonstrated his ability to paint well occasionally creates a work that is unconventional, people generally conclude that he is experimenting or that his style is evolving. When an artist who HASN'T demonstrated an ability to paint well does exactly the same thing, people will say, "Dude! Learn how to paint."

OD/OT knows how to paint. He has earned a lot of leeway.

Let it go Moo. Surely you've realized that some people have achieved a status that is beyond SF reproach no matter how good or bad their pics might be.

I think once that status is achieved and they then post a really dodgy pic, the usual suspects commence their routine jizzing while many other people might well be thinking 'WTF?' but can't be bothered with the **** storm of abuse should they dare to dissent.

I think you are quite wrong in this instance. I don't love all of his fits, but I really liked this one. It has nothing to do with who he is, and everything to do with the quality of this ensemble.
