Yeah, for a while there, eBay sellers in the UK were selling tweed jackets using this technique. Although, I must say that I rather like this version -- waaayyy hotter!

The other end of that: I once pulled up a tweed jacket in my size. It was being advertised as a burlesque item. Being worn as such in the e-bay photo.

It did not exactly entice me to bid. Cute and all, but when I have concerns about fluids that it might have been exposed to...

Becuase SF approved names are really hard to make somewhat convincing fakes of, are generally purchased by a much more knowledgeable audience, and are generally pretty much completely unknown to the general public bidding on said items?
