I was searching the web looking for some inspiration for my own morning dress and I came across these examples on Getty Images. These are definitely among the best I've seen. Interestingly, the Van Cutsem chappies seem to have morning dress down to a fine art. Discuss...

That is one sharp look. Now, why can't that be considered acceptable for office wear?

Why did they all tack their ties to have disgusting bulges? I understand leaving a bit of extra room but imo there's too much..

I don't know...a DB vest might raise eyebrows int he typical office...but more power to the guy that can get away with it.

I like the look but I wouldn't want to see it at the office, it's perfect for what it is.

Not a fan of number 2 at all really. Jacket is ill fitting on him. Number 4 the pants are awful... Maybe this just isn't my thing

Formal ascot (the type worn outside the collar) or a necktie. Either one is legitimate.

For some reason, I still disapprove of a solid jacket with pinstripe pants. The gray suit quoted earlier is smashing though.

Those men are wearing morning coats, not jackets, and morning dress is not worn with pinstripe trousers. It's called 'cashmere stripes', a bolder, more complex stripe pattern. Chalkstripe trousers are acceptable, but pinstripe trousers are not. The solid grey morning suit above is a more casual version, usually worn for attending the races.
