He is promoting his business through his personal image more than the quality his tailoring house is providing...

The same brand strategy is pursued by the Rubinaccis ,Ford or Boateng of this world...

He is more interested in the Tautz RTW collections than the bespoke part of his operations...

David Ward left and that's not a great sign.

"Hate" is a bit strong, though thanks to the internet everyone in the public eye has a small but vicious band of critics.

Lasbar gets it right - he's promoting his RTW line over Norton & Sons and if you have read the London Lounge over the past few years you'll have noted that service in the bespoke operation suffered for a while because of this.

Where I'd part company with my friend Lasbar is that I think Grant is quite right to use his image to promote his brand. Patrick always looks good: He's a walking advert for his company. Plus he's witty, articulate, and, as the Esquire videos he "stars" in demonstrate, he's an affable host and passionate about the production process. As a package, that's a rarity in the fashion business and as Tautz operates on a limited budget, one can't blame him for using his personal qualities to flog the brand.
