In your original post you asked for a plain toe shoe. A captoe without a medallion is a type of plain toe shoe. What exactly are you asking for? A whole cut? Very confusing. I suggest you narrow your parameters.

I feel like there is at least one other current thread on this topic. Perhaps I just notice them all because I want a pair.
Apparently Herring sold a reasonably priced (and better looking then the blackfriars) pair last year called the Shakespeare, but no longer stock them. (why? why?).
To Boot New York makes one with a punched cap toe.
I actually don't like the Lobbs. They remind me of the blackfriars

I don't know if there's an official SF statistician who keeps records on this, but we must have just set a world record for most threads about double monks in any given week.

I think what he's saying is have you tried doing a search? This topic comes up relatively often and in particular a few times just this/last week. Not being a jerk here, just genuinely asking if you've looked around since there's a short list of answers to this question and I suspect tehy've all been laid out somewere before...

I wasn't criticizing your thread. It's just really weird how many different threads pertaining to double monks have shown up in the last week. I probably wouldn't have noticed except for the fact that I love double monks too and so threads about them always catch my attention.
