Quick question:
7.5 D feels fine in both Trubalance and Barrie. Barrie is just a little tighter in the toebox.
What size should I order for Aberdeen and Plaza?
Thanks, guys!

Wow. Barrie is known to have more room in the toebox for Alden lasts and Aberdeen is known to be the sleakest with the least amount.

I would say 8E or 8EE in the Aberdeen and 8E on the Plaza.

Thanks for the quick reply: I'll go ahead and pull the trigger on an 8E in Aberdeen!

That's why I love this forum...

hmm, they may have meant they (meaning shoemart) wouldn't have any for a year.

still, that sounds like a long time for a big retailer

Very surprising, as they get such a big allocation of shell each year from Alden. Perhaps they have chosed to use their cigar allocation on different models? (Alden allocates by amount of leather / shell, rather than by model)

Can't tell from your pic what's shakin' with the crease.

7.5 D barrie, he could also try 7.5 E aberdeen. Either way (7.5 E or 8 E) the shape of the last is going to be different. Altering the size to match the barrie's toe box could mean the aberdeen is too wide at the ankle.

Long story short, if the Barrie fits you real well in any size, it could be that no size of the Aberdeen fits you real well. The lasts are too different. One is shaped more like a V, with wide toe to ankle ratio, and the other is shaped more like an A, with narrow toes for the same ankle. Aberdeen probably can't be sized for someone who requires the toe box of the Barrie. I learned this the hard way
