Not sure why, but there are not Japanese people east of the the Mississippi practicing this wonderful craft on the level scene on the West Coast.

Not many Japanese West of the Mississippi that make Teriyaki at those stripmall places either. Most every one I have been into has been run by Koreans or Thai (strange enough). Though, I must admit, for as cheap and unhealthy as it is, it can be good. Though like any fast food its often a bastardization of real teriyaki, which doesnt give you a sugar high or leave you feeling dumpy.

I find Chick-fil-A to be bland. The fact that they are not open on Sundays is a real downer as well.

What about Chipotle? They use decent quality materials and I find their food to be quite tasty.

Even though Chipotle is fast food, it doesn't have a drive through...so I'm strictly going with traditional fast food places. Anyway, there is a fantastic Mexican restaurant near us that I'd much rather dine at than eat chipotle, and it's only about 5-6 dollars more a meal. Having said that, chipotle is much better than most fast food places.

Food wise one of the biggest things I miss about Chicago is the corner burger joint where you could get a variety of food items, gyro, Italian beef, hotdog, or even a burger.

As far as traditional fast food places for me it really doesn't matter. Here in TX people seem to be as fanatical about Wataburger as west coast people are about in and out burger and east coast people are about 5 guys. Me? If I'm getting a fast food burger I pretty much just go to McDonalds. I like Wendy's and Arby's but I don't have one close by. Popeyes is my favorite chicken place.

Not totally organic, but they use mostly naturally raised meat and try to use locally sourced produce also (obviously dependent on it's location). I'd be hesitant to call a 1,200 calorie burrito healthy, but hey, it tastes friggin good.

Get the bowl without the rice. Cuts down on the calories by about half.

Well what would be the point of that now? I go to Chipotle when I'm craving a giant burrito, not when I want a bowl of meat and beans with some salsa on top.

Don't forget about the Pizza Puff? A Chicago classic.

I ate at Taco Bell today. I was waiting for a prescription pick up and it was next door. I had a grilled stuffed burrito. It was mediocre. That's all I've got for now.

Zaxby's is delicious! Guthrie's, a similar place, is a notch below (a bit too salty) but still good.

I'm telling you, Beefy Crunch Burrito, it's a winner. Just $.99, how do they do it.

So many different regional delicacies to try. God willing we'll get to try them all.
