I mean in addition to the wild differences in appearance and references/inspirations the clarksdb brigade on sf is very often pontificating about timeless style in a way that would make anyone put them on ignore. I know not everyone who wears clarksdb is a douchebag but many here are deluded into thinking they are 69-ing James Dean into eternal stylishness.
in the sense that based on what i've seen, his choices are just as mannered as the one he criticizes. regardless, i'm not judging his tastes, i'm commenting on his commentary.

I'd guess uncontrol find it absolutely boring and empty, not mannered but I dunno. I rarely care for it too but reserve hate for preppy style which is an abomination.

Why is the preppy style an abomination?

I would be into, like, Bateman Prep, something that really takes the prep look into full-on runway insanity. Sporty striped polos with fake muscles sewn into the chest and sleeves, crossed-lacrosse-stick-stitched pants where each applique takes up an entire thigh, socks made of human ankle skin, etc.

I think fuuma is referring to this kinda prep:
wandering-eye-princeton01.jpg
but I don't think he would consider Junya or Thom Browne as an abomination, which are prep derivatives but I could be wrong
