Went to the Brooks Brothers outlet in Gettysburg today. At the 70 percent off rack, I found two identical black plaid buttondown shirts at different prices. One was originally $98.50 and the other was $79.50. I asked a clerk the difference and he said one came from the "main store." Sure enough, I hadn't noticed that one had the outlet brand 346 on the label and the other did not. But otherwise, as I said, they were identical.

I have other 346 and mainline BB items that look similar in quality but this was the first time I found identical items branded in both labels. Just thought I'd pass that along.

Thanks SF (a new me)

346 shirts for $98 or $79 in BB outlet? dang! I bought 3 1818 line 100% Egyptian cotton USA made shirts last week all for $64.73

Good question. The countries of origin were different. The 1818 was made in Malaysia. I don't recall where the 346 was made but I remember it was another low-wage slave state similar to Malaysia. Otherwise the shirts were identical. Not just the same fabric -- the same everything.
