To the fashion gurus of this forum...I searched the other threads but couldn't find anything----what are some of the better brands of shearlings out there? Surely there must shearling gurus here?

generally, the lighter-weight shearlings are the higher quality stuff. brand name doesn't matter so much - look at the quality of the product. nobody needs to pay more for a name alone. i have a 5-6 year old Boss chocolate brown shearling that is leaps and bounds over other brands i've seen.

I see.

I understand that these things go on sale, but I've never seen the good stuff (eg black, ironed-out (Straightened out) wool on the lining instead of the curly cheap-looking stuff, etc)....also, the sale stuff are ridiculously small or large sizes and never your size....

does anyone know the quality of Bruno Magli shearlings? They're made in Italy...but I thought Bruno Magli did only shoes?!? maybe they use the same suede to make their shearling jackets?!? Any advice gratefully appreciated!
