My whiskey and ravello LWBs after ONE WEAR. All you Alden haters are gonna love this, but honestly, this is my first bad experience with ANY Alden shoe, and I'm confident if I send them back to the factory, they can fix the problem.

Nice selection of cordovan. Need a name for covering all four of the major colors (8/Ravello/Cigar/Whiskey). I guess #4 is super-rare.Originally Posted by borderline

NYR: Ask the shops you bought them from for a "return authorization" for "repair and return." Alden should fix and send back to you.

They're color #8 from 2000/2001.
The weight you felt was most likely due to the crepe sole.

Quick question: For anyone who has the LeatherSoul Ultimate Jumpers in #8, do you think those boots are sufficiently dressy that they can be worn with suits or are they primarily a casual boot for jeans? I don't believe they are appropriate for wear with a suit because of the shape of the Trubalance last. You could wear them but they will look odd.
If you want a boot that can be worn with jeans and a suit, your best bet is probably something on the Barrie last. I think a wingtip, cap toe, or chukka boot could be worn with either.
