How to wear a Green blazer

Have a really nice Belvest green wool and cashmere sport coat with a gold colored windowpane pattern, but i have no idea what would look good with it. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

edit: its a sport coat not a blazer. sorry, im still a newb LOL

thanks! would walnut colored shoes work? I'm assuming a white shirt would be best?

Sure. White shirt works as would baby-blue bengal stripe.

As long as it's not THAT shade of green, it's fine. And the hunter green used by the masters really is quite nice, it's just... used by the masters.

The human eye is more sensitive to green then any other color, which has the result of making it pair well with about any other color. Green and red can be lovely, though it has unfortunate connotations outside of holiday parties. Green and yellow is awesome. Green and blue is a nice relaxing pairing. Green and brown go together naturally. Green and tan as well. Green and gray rub along well, green and orange provide a lively pairing if the orange is used responsibly.

Are you getting my drift? Green is a very versatile color. I tend to pair it with earthtones most, but it's really pretty difficult to find something that doesn't work with green. Provided, of course, that said item isn't inherently ugly.

I think this was photgraphed at Princeton, not Harvard. haha. He does look pretty similar to that actor though.
