Did you try Brooks Brothers? They might have what you are looking for. For a yellow tie, try Drakes print ties, Capelli and Ralph Lauren.

These two BB ties are close, but I want yellow, not gold:

Drakes, Hober, RL, Ben Silver, and O'Connell's have all let me down, too.

No, but why not? Don't you think yellow with some thin black and white stripes would look boss with a charcoal suit?

Well maybe. I think the success rate of yellow ties is quite low. I can imagine many (just about any?) other colours look 'bosser' with charcoal. Could be a personal dislike of mine though, and I'm not exactly a tie pro either, so feel free to disregard my comment.

I really think of it as a summery color, and best with light colored suits.

I hope TB doesnt mind me using his thread, I wanted to get some SF op about my ties. I want to thin them out a bit. So, which ones to keep and which ones to let go. General thoughts welcome as well ... Lot I - Blue Group

Lot 1 - Keep the three on the right
Lot 2 - Keep 2nd, 3rd and 5th
Lot 3 - Keep 2nd, 4th
Lot 4 - Keep the one on the left (was that a Purdey cashmere?)

^^ Ok thanks for your comments, appreciate it.

The green one on the left is Purdey wool (not cashmere as per my recollection)

It's nice - I kept one of those for myself.

Blue: toss the first on the left
Brown: toss the first and the third
Purple: maybe toss the first; it's not a bad tie, but just not my style and not very versatile; could also see a cogent argument for tossing the third
Green: keep both; toss the one on the right if you have to, but if you do, let me have it
