Whole wheat grain bread. (Is that a tautology?)

I'm now gonna try a slice with some butter and goat cheese. Will report back.

With sausage:

Too yeasty and lacking some flavour, salt maybe. Not bad, but I don't no if I'll be frequenting this bakery.

You gotta think that practice makes perfect.

At least, that is what I told myself after my bread making tries this past week. Mine kind of looked like that: small bubbles, dense looking.

I know this thread constitutes making bread at home but do you guys have a preference for store bought whole wheat bread? I've been using the WW from Whole Foods and its surprisingly good but I thought I'd ask in here to see if there were any better options.

i have a feeling they're all made in a same or similar factories.

my wegmans bakes their own bread so i either get those or go to a local bakery. i find they're generally about the same price ($2-3 for a big baguette $4-5 for a big country loaf)

you dont have local bakeries near you?

No, not really. I know WF farms out their baking to an offsite plant, at least in this area. ****, for $3 I can't really beat it. Plus, its organic and/or all natural (can't remember which or both) and fairly tasty.

my Pop Pop would always eat liverwurst and knockwurst.
