That might not be a bad thing, if you like sleeker. Bourtons are rather chunky.

you should be ok half sizing up. IME, and I own boots and 5 pairs of shoes, that Trickers country shoes (Bournton Stow etc) run TTS on the snug side where sizing down half would mean having your toes crunched possibly, but you could size up half and get away with it esp if your feet are on smaller-average size where there seems to be more leeway to go bigger without it looking/feeling too roomy. On my recent boot orders I actually went UP a half size, since I like to wear thick camp socks with boots and doing so with my TTS size feels kinda cramped (but feels fine with normal socks). But I like my shoes to have some extra toe room so YMMV

So sounds like if I wear a US11 I should go with a UK10? I guess I could order a UK10.5 just to be safe ...

edit: Just ordered both

I'm having a hard time figuring out what TTS in tricker's would be, though. If I'm an 11d in Allen Edmonds, is this a 10UK or 10.5 uk?

Thanks, OP. Picked up a pair of Henleys. Had my eye out for a good deal on a basic cap toe.

It's difficult to say because peoples feet vary so much and it depends on which Allen Edmonds last compared to which Trickers last. In general I'd say if you're a snug fit in AE you'd probably want to go down a whole size, if you're a more roomy fit in AE 1/2 a size would probably do.

It's worth trying an SF members site www.sizeadvisors.com and feeding in your measurements and what fits you well.

+1 there's a lot of YMMV when it comes to shoe sizing and what fits one person vs another

I would safely call AE a "TTS shoe", and compared to Trickers seems to fit correspondingly (UK size being 1 full smaller than US size, so 10 USA is 9 UK). This is from "MY EXPERIENCE" which is from owning 6 pairs of Trickers and 3 Allen Edmonds. If you're in between half sizes (ie: AE 9 fits a bit snug but AE 9.5 is slightly loose), I'd go with that half size larger in Trickers (which would be UK8.5 / 9.5US in that example) because Trickers do not run long on their country lasts.

these are just general guidelines of course.

I've been meaning to order a pair of Stow boots, but I've been hesitant about the sizing. With that sort of discount and the generous return policy, I figured there was no better time to try out a few different sizes.

Ordered Espresso in 10.5, 11.5, and 11...I really hope a pair fits.

FYI everything on STP has an automatic 50% off discount including the tricker's which makes them 275 ... slightly cheaper than the 25% most of us used.

anyone know if they credit back retroactively? either way still great deal and its arguing over very little money ...
