Can anyone tell me who made these for Luigi Borrelli? Seller said they are Santoni.

That's the Sutor Mantellassi nail pattern on the sole.

The pics you added are pretty small, could you enlarge them.

Worst macro shots ever.
Borrelli shoes are either Mantellassi or Peluso.
If the MSRP sticker is still on the box, Peluso = <1k MSRP and Mantellassi = >1k.

I don't have the box on me, MSRP was 540 euros. So I'm guessing they are Peluso.

Sorry about the pictures, first time using image hosting.

Santoni made them initially when the first started with shoes. Pricing of Mantalassi made Borreli shoes in Europe is certainly not USD 1K, I have several pair that are in the range mentioned (i.e EUR 550). You pics are not visible so I can not provide you with a definate answer.

Attach this to the end of each picture link ]

The nails in the tip/toe of the shoe were said to be telltale of Sutor. Regardless I am very happy with the shoe, beautiful pebble grain with a nice chocolate color. They are very long and thin compared to my AE's and even my C&J's and Bally's, but variety is the spice of life!

FWIW, Alexander also made Borrelli shoes as well as Sutor Mantellassi.

...and if Peluso actually made any Borrelli shoes, wow, this is why I read the comments as to
dubious quality or reservations regarding Borrelli shoes in the past..

Peluso is absolutely in no league with Sutor, Santoni, or Alexander...

Fratelli Peluso are very mediocre...I would never buy them no matter the price. Ive never seen any that Ive cared for.
I find them the same as Fratelli Rossetti and Moreschi..

Searching for this stuff I thought Id add this info. although the post is old.
Regards
