PP 5296, my most recent infatuation. Anyone here own one? I would love to hear your thoughts!

I'm not a huge fan of tourbillons, but I really like this one as well. I quite like the integration with a regulator, the offset dials, and that VIII through X disappear the other 9 hours of the cycle to provide a full, unobstructed display.

That being said, my grail is still the Richard Lange PLM.

Quite like the new B+M Capeland Flyback, but $7K for a B+M is a bit rich.

Yup, would much rather buy a Glashutte Chronograph XL at that price. The design of the B+M reminds me of Longines.

In late 98, I bought a B&M Capeland chrono, black face, great design. Then, 4 - 5 years ago, I wanted to have it checked out and I sent it to a B&M service center (it worked fine, but was starting to run a bit late). They told me the lube used had gunked up (wtf?!?!) and I would need to change the entire face of the watch - for a couple thousand dollars, IIRC.

Off to eBay it went, and I bought a Seamaster instead. I'll never buy B&M again, even though I think they have very elegant design. I still like the classic Capeland and Hampton models very much.

There is too much going on there. Plus, it looks like a Longines/Brietling clone. And for 7K you can do MUCH better.

This is a better option IMHO, less busy design & probably a third of the price:

- this man know his stuff
- on a side note, I think a lot of people go gaga about certain watches only because of the brand or the unattainable.
