Love this one...but the recent formulation seems to be lacking quite a bit, and clearly has Jean Claude Ellena's signature on it. If I wanted an Ellena cuminfest, I'd go with Declaration. Oh well.

lol, I just read cumin-fest as ***-in-fest and had some rather disturbing images of a late night empty warehouse and ellena putting his 'signature' into one of the maceration tanks.

Everyone knows that Ellena's "signature" smells like Iso E Super.

My "signature" smells more like bleach. I guess that's why I'm not a famous perfumer? :/

Give Montale Chypre Vanille. It's really interesting, and has an almost astringent sort of bleachy note. Very dry, and not at all what you expect from something "vanilla."

Not, perhaps, full bottle worthy, but definitely worth a decant. OR, if they sell it in one of their nifty little 20ml bottles.

today: a decant of Hermes Poivre Samarcande. Normally Ellena scents tend to leave me cold in their sparse simplicity, but this is quite good.
