definitely.

actually there is a very offensive mood through the shoe topics atm. don't ask me why???

i cannot care less if cameroon is a troll or not, though i struggle with the imagination that in a brand related topic criticism of any kind is strictly forbidden.

the thread itself proves on so many levels that AS is doing their homework and they have delivered satisfying results to their customers on sf and elswhere in the world.

sf(david) made an fantastic report on their operations. fwiw, it shows the most implementation of handwork throught the northampton factories.

there is more than way to skin a rabbit. AS walks on a good path.

I am too, but in a way that is respectful of differences and doesn't simply demean someone for a cheap thrill in the way cameroon has done. Best I can tell, you have completely misunderstood my post, so I will say this as clearly as I can - I am a customer of AS and Chay. I think they do a superb (that means excellent) job. I think Chay is equally excellent (being excellent is a good, not a bad thing). Legitimate criticism of the shoe or the brand is fine if it is based on actual experience with the product, but I don't think criticism of them is legitimate when cameroon has no experience with either AS or Chay. And that is what cameroon was doing.

I still can't figure out if you like AS, don't like AS or what. But it is clear that you've got a bee in your bonnet abt something and if you do, best to take it off line.

Let's get this thread back on track (and will hopefully stay on track) with some pictures. These were from A Permanent Style: http://permanentstyle.blogspot.com/2...handgrade.html

cheers Slewfoot. Surprised when I saw these on APS. Not sure about the colour - appear as an olive green on my monitor, so what to wear them with? Remind me a little of a tweed coat with leather patch elbows.

PS the PStuart Norwegers are a nice variation on the style - if only my size.

medtech - nice! Look forward to hearing how it goes.

pliny- I'm thinking that olive color is more the photo. I'm guessing it's more of a traditional tobacco/nutmeg type suede. I agree that as is it would be difficult to pair with anything perhaps besides jeans.

cameroon and Medtech if you decide to have lasts made by Springline, please let us know. I think Slewfoot did something similar, i.e. have springline lasts made, but dont know how it all turned out.
