Randomkoreandude....I'm now considering about the black/#4 you just got. But man, it's been kind of an expensive month as is.

It's tough to be certain, but I'd say that the 36 has a very good chance of fitting you well off the rack. We've had quite a few guys size up - it really depends on your build. But it's worth a shot if you dig the tweed.

It's soft-fused throughout and has minimal shoulder pads. There's no canvassing in the construction.

I did this for cost and overall weight. Half-canvassed construction would have brought the price well over $550. And it would have made the jacket pretty heavy, as the Donegal tweed is thick to begin with.

I wanted to get awesome fabric and dial in a solid fit - but still keep the price in the mid 300's. Our Manhattan workshop does a very polished job with their assembly and fusing, so the lapels drape well and are really nicely shaped. You guys will love the paisley liner! Man, I was looking for something like that for months!

Ha, thanks! I'm happy to say that LandoCal joined our staff this year. You'll see lots more of him!

No waaaaaaay~ I actually went into the Brooklyn shop to ask about them -- Mike said he still had to do the inventory. Granted this was a week or so ago. They probably hit the rack at the Manhattan store and vanished. I'm heartbroken.

Hi Mike,

I was wondering if all your shirts now have a full box pleat. I bought a shirt from you awhile back and the rear had a semi-box pleat, as in there wasn't a full overlap of material. However, the oxford I just received has a full box pleat and it makes my upper back rather blousey.

Same problem here. I'm a bit gutted it only goes up to 18" shoulders

Yeah after I asked I started thinking about the weight. Love the lining too. Damn, I hope this is still available in a few weeks...

Excellent... would they be available to try on at the BK/NYC stores?

Oh ****, I'm so sorry guys! We just kept putting off the launch. We're rocking it right now, and will have the Olive Drabs up by 6PM today. Please remember to size down one in the waist. I'll post up the link once it's active

Hmm, we added an extra 1/3" to the box pleat to our very original pattern, but that was over a year ago. All the shirts that we released in 2010 have the exact same pleat. It's probably more noticable on the oxford, because the fabric is so thick and stiff. After a few washings, it will soften up considerably.

We worked on the jacket fit for a while, but it is still our first run. If you guys have any feedback or wishes for the next production batch, please PM them over. We're always trying to improve our fits.

Yup, we've got both the West Egg Longwings in both Snuff and Tan. They'll most likely only be available at the Brooklyn store this weekend. We'll get them into Manhattan and online next week. A 'lil preview shot below. Apologies for the crazy-ass Hipstamatic color tones.

Mike, how did you measure the shoulders? Front or back? Seam to seam or something else? I've found shoulder measurements can vary wildly, esp. between the front and the back. Might put many people's minds at ease if they knew how this was measured.

It's from seam to seam. But, if you measure it from one physical end to another, it adds an extra 0.5" to the overall measurment.

When you guys look at sportcoat measurements, do you know what the convention is for stating shoulder measurements? I could be doing it wrong.
